Samitivej Hospital Sriracha is located 130 km east of Bangkok. Nearby are the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, Laem Chabang Port, and the tourist destination Pattaya, and the hospital provides medical services to many Japanese people living in or visiting this area. As of 2017, a total of about 20,000 Japanese patients had visited the hospital. It incorporates Japan-style features such as consultation desks that bring patients and doctors closer together and lower examination beds that are easier to get on and off. It is also the only hospital in Thailand with a 150-bed ward where every room has an ocean view.

In 2016, with the opening of the new building, we relocated the Japanese consultation desk that had been in the old building and added an internal medicine outpatient clinic and a 10-room inpatient ward. We have 2 Japanese-speaking doctors, 6 nurses, and 8 Japanese interpreters on staff. We incorporate Japanese-style features such as consultation desks that bring patients and doctors closer together and lower examination beds that are easier to get on and off.
