Tour search

  • How do I search for tour programs?

Searching for tour programs with Let's Go is the easiest in the world. You can choose from popular destinations already prepared on the top menu bar, or type it yourself in the "Search" icon (magnifying glass)—the name of a continent, country, region (or province), or city—then press the "Search" button.

Once you get the results, you can refine them to better match your needs using the many available filters, such as travel date, airline, tour company, etc.

  • What is Advanced Search, and what are its benefits?

Advanced search, suitable for those who have more specific needs than just where to go and when to go. Additional options include:

    1. Number of travel days, e.g., some people want a short trip while others prefer a longer one.

    2. Travel period: if you can’t specify exact dates but want a date range, such as 1–30 June or 15 June to 15 July; or if the selected dates may yield limited results, expanding the number of days into a range will provide more options.

    3. Tour company: for those who already have a preferred company in mind, you can select more than one company.

    4. Special features: for those with specific requirements, such as tours that provide free Wi‑Fi, skiing, or an overnight cruise experience, etc.

    5. Price range: To filter and get results that better match what you want, you can narrow the price range as needed.

  • When there are too many results, how can I narrow them down to better match what I want?

Sometimes having too many choices creates problems for searchers. TiapTour therefore designed the system to be flexible in searching. You can filter results to reduce the number while matching your needs better in 2 ways:

    1. Use the "Advanced Search" function as explained in another topic.

    2. Use result sorting. By default, the system sorts results by price from low to high. But if price is not your main consideration and you are more interested in the airline used or the tour company/seller, you can choose to sort results by these two criteria.

After filtering the results to a satisfactory level, you can narrow them down to final results—such as the 5 programs that best match your preferences—by pressing the "Select to compare" button below each result. You can also share them with friends so you can consider them together.

  • How is free time calculated?

One source of confusion in tour information is the inclusion of free-time periods. This is not a disadvantage; it is simply an option. "Compare Tours" uses the tour company’s service principle: if a free period is defined where the customer takes care of transportation themselves—even if a guide provides suggestions—it counts as free time. It may be a full day or a half day. However, if transportation is arranged to pick up and drop off at the location, it is counted as part of the program and is not considered free time.

  • Why do some attractions get listed while others are not?

There are many factors involved in listing attractions.

    1. If the place is not in the database (having too much data may not always be an advantage).

    2. If the tour does not actually take you there—for example, if it says "pass by"—it will be considered that the customer did not visit, so it will not be listed. Even so, there is still ambiguity between taking a photo in front of the place and actually going inside to visit, which still needs a way to distinguish.

    3. Taking a photo of a tourist attraction from far away, such as Tokyo Skytree from the other side of the river, or the Eiffel Tower from the Trocadéro Square, will not list the Eiffel Tower.

  • Is Free Wi‑Fi really available?

Tour companies nowadays are starting to see the importance of providing free Wi‑Fi service, so you will see many companies offering this on routes mainly in Japan and Taiwan, but it is still very few compared to all destinations.

Wi‑Fi service, when available, is usually installed on the tour bus. Some companies go further by providing portable devices (e.g., 1 device for every 2 people), which TiapTour will specify because it is a special service and can be considered an important selling point. As for companies that state Wi‑Fi is available at the hotel, this will not be specified because it is considered standard.

Selected tour companies

  • How are tour companies selected?

TiapTour aims to be a hub of quality tours that makes searching more convenient. Tour companies whose tour programs are selected for comparison must meet the following basic qualifications:

    1. Have a valid tour business license from the Department of Tourism (TAT).

    2. Have been in business for at least 5 years

However, the above qualifications are only a basic assurance, so please thoroughly review the tour company's credibility information before deciding to book.

About "TiapTour"

  • Is "TiapTour" a tour company?

TiapTour is not a tour company. We do not organize tours or sell tours. We are a system that facilitates people who want to find tours, with three key selling points: easy to find, fast to discover, and clear comparisons.

TiapTour is committed to neutrality in presenting information. Since each tour company presents information differently, we try to organize it so it can be compared as much as possible—for example, counting the number of meals and free days. We believe we reduce customers’ comparison steps by no less than 50% compared with other media customers use to search for tour programs.

We intend for TiapTour to be the easiest and most convenient place to search for tours, but we won’t stop there. We will keep looking for ways to make it even more convenient.

  • Does "TiapTour" guarantee the credibility of the tour companies whose programs are listed on the website?

TiapTour serves as an intermediary to compile tour programs from a variety of leading companies. Our criteria for selecting tour companies whose programs are listed in our system are as follows:

    (1) Holds a valid tour business license issued by the Department of Tourism (TAT).

    (2) Has been in business for at least 5 years.

    (3) Has a good reputation and is widely recognized.

However, the above qualifications are only a basic assurance. “TiapTour” has no authority or tools to know the internal matters of those tour companies. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to thoroughly review the credibility information of the tour company before deciding to book, and we do not support customers making booking decisions based on price as the sole factor.

  • Can I book a tour with "TiawTour"?

"TiawTour" acts as an intermediary and a facilitation tool for customers and tour companies to connect more easily, but it is not a tour company or a reseller/agent itself. We support both parties in making buying and selling smoother, based on straightforward and fair information.
